Description

The NB-Fi transceiver is a high-performance low power RF transceiver intended for RF wireless applications in the sub-1 GHz band.

The NB-Fi transceiver supports high performance NB Fi protocol with data rates of 50 - 25 600 bit/s with exceptional receiving sensitivity down to -148 dBm.

Besides transmitting of any DBPSK/BPSK modulated messages at data rates of up to 100 kbps using digital pin-controlled phase modulator, the NB-Fi transceiver supports sending of short (up to 320 bits) DBPSK messages at data rates of up to 25 600 bps using built-in IQ modulator. Thus, the NB-Fi transceiver allowing to transmit the NB-Fi messages, specified by the NB-Fi protocol, with enabled built-in IQ modulator. Using of the built-in IQ modulator allows to reduce MCU power consumption by transitioning it to the inactive state right after pushing the message to the transceiver’s RAM input stack.

The NB-Fi transceiver has exceptionally high sensitivity and enables developers of IoT devices to use all advantages of the NB-Fi technology simultaneously: long range of bidirectional data transmission, high selectivity and low power consumption. Together with WAVIoT base stations, the NB-Fi transceiver allows achieving the best link budget among other IoT solutions. The NB-Fi communications protocol and the WAVIoT system provide the protection of confidentiality and integrity of transmitted data by strong encryption algorithms.

NB-Fi technology enables transmission distance of up to 10 km in dense urban environment, and up to 30 km in rural area, ensuring minimum power consumption and high resistance to interference. One of the advantages of the new NB-Fi transceiver is chip-to-chip connectivity over a long distance (up to 10 kilometers). This allows building decentralized IoT solutions and mesh networks.

The NB-Fi transceiver operates in the 430 - 500 MHz and 860 - 925 MHz frequency ranges.
