Description

WAVIoT Gas Meter is a ultrasonic gas meter equipped with an NB-Fi transceiver and designed to measure natural gas consumption volumes by individual consumers.

The principle of operation of the WAVIoT ultrasonic gas meter is based on measuring the transit time of the ultrasonic wave along and against the gas flow, calculating from the measured values of the flow speed and the gas volume passed through the meter.

WAVIoT Gas Meter transmits data via NB-Fi radio protocol to base stations, then base stations forward data packets to the WAVIoT IoT Platform. Processed data is displayed in WAVIoT Meter Data Management system and can be transferred to any third-party application via API. WAVIoT Gas Meter may be supplied with additional GSM or NB-IoT AMR module on request.

WAVIoT Gas Meter may be supplied with a unique internal shutoff valve that allows shuting off gas remotely from the Meter Data Management system.

WAVIoT Gas Meter with NB-Fi transceiver is a reliable solution for advanced gas metering and ensures 100% collection of readings from devices with no need for regular manual reviews. Detailed gas consumption data on every user is collected in WAVIoT MDM system and may be available in a web-based interface and a mobile application. Flexible reports in different breakdowns may include the data on various consumer groups as well as totals and subtotals.

The thermal correction function brings measured gas volume in balance with a temperature of 20°C, which enables to eliminate the influence of seasonal gas temperature on the measured volume.

WAVIoT Gas Meters are easy to mount – coupling nuts enable installation without the use of any additional connecting elements.

Advanced gas metering solutions by WAVIoT support end-to-end encryption using the AES-256 – symmetric block cipher algorithm with a 256-bit encryption key. WAVIoT Gas Meter design eliminates unauthorized influence and the possibility of software and measurement information manipulations.

WAVIoT IoT Platform and WAVIoT MDM system support working with multiple types of utilities, so they can be used for all WAVIoT devices simultaneously.
